OVERLAND PRIVATE TOUR ITINERARY – 2nd JULY – 6TH JULY 2016 Day One: You will be picked up in Dublin and we make our way down to the Blarney Castle. After kissing the Blarney stone, we will make a short tour of Cork City before journeying onto the picturesque fishing village of Kinsale. Kinsale is one of the most popular destinations for Irish and international tourists. Day Two: We will kick start the day with a guided hike around the Kinsale Marine area. From there we will travel together to Killarney National Park and take in Torc Waterfall and Ross Castle on route. This is the beginning your Ring of Kerry tour – Ireland’s most scenic ring road. Arrive in Dingle town early evening to enjoy the freshest seafood, creamy pints of Guinness in Dick Mack’s pub and traditional Irish music. Day Three: Spend half a day in a colorful kayak exploring Dingle Bay in search of hidden caves and Ireland’s most famous mammal – Fungi the Dolphin. After a hearty lunch we will explore more of the Ring of Kerry and take in the Dingle Brewery or the Dingle Distillery on our way back. Make sure to bring a good camera. There are plenty of show stopping photo opportunities along the way. Day Four: We will leave Dingle for Bohemian Galway City. This is a day tick lots of sites off your bucket list. Your Overland tour will take you across the River Shannon by ferry, to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, The Cliffs of Moher and the Burren National Park. We will finish off the day with a short historical tour of Ireland’s Culture Capital - Galway. Every night in Galway is like a Friday night. The city is awash with fantastic restaurants, pubs and cultural entertainment. Day Five: A trip to the west is not complete without a journey to the wilds of Connemara. We will travel through Connemara National Park and stop at Kylemore Abbey before we head back to Dublin. The price per person for this custom private tour is €890 per person. Aran Islands Day Tour Depart Galway City for Rosaveel Pier in Galway’s Gaelic speaking region, Connemara. Take a short ferry ride over to the Aran Islands. Arrive on rugged Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands in glorious Galway Bay as part of your tour. Explore the island on bike, foot, horse, meet the locals and learn some “Gaeilge”. Cycle to one of Ireland’s oldest monuments, the stone fort at Dún Aenghus, which lies 100m over the ocean. Enjoy the freshest Atlantic seafood and get yourself an original Aran sweater on the island. This tour has been especially created for participants of the COTEC conference hosted by the NUIG in Galway. Day One: 19th June 2016 Depart Sunday morning for Westport. Travel through Connemara and the Lost Valley/Famine Trail. After lunch take a hike up Ireland’s most iconic mountain named after St Patrick – Croagh Patrick. Westport is one of the most beautiful villages in Ireland. Enjoy an evening of traditional music at Matt Molloy’s famous pub. Day Two: 20th June 2016 Depart Westport for the coastal village, Doolin in County Clare. Visit the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher and go surfing in Ireland’s surf capital – Lahinch. Day Three & Four: 21st / 22nd June 2016 Depart for the stunning south west of Ireland. Cross Ireland’s longest river, the river Shannon, by ferry and travel across the Connor pass to Dingle. Spend the afternoon kayaking in Dingle Bay and meet Ireland’s most loved dolphin, Fungie. The next day take in another surf or a long walk along Inch Beach. After a refreshing dip in the Atlantic discover The Ring of Kerry. This route is one of the most beautiful ring roads in the world steeped in history, tradition and spectacular scenery. Day Five: 23rd June 2016 Travel a short distance to Killarney Town and visit Killarney National Park, Torc Waterfall and the town itself. We have the option of touring the park on horseback. Day Six: 24th June 2016 Travel back to Galway via Shannon. Visit Bunratty Castle and folk park and Limerick City enroute.
